About
Hello all. My names Alissa Johnson. I started my hobby farm in 2015. A small 5.5 acre 3 bedroom home out in the country in Northern MN. Born and raised in the area. I have always had dogs in my life and rabbits most of it but the other critters and the breeding are a new venture for me. Ive had a aussie in my life for the last decade and will never be without one or a pug. Growing up we had a aussie newfie mix along with various other critters such as raccoons and deer. Growing up with so much its no wonder I love animals! When I was in middle school my mother bought our first chihuahua, Honey, and from there I picked my Benson from her litter. Benson was a heart dog for sure, sadly at only 13, he surcome to cancer and was put to rest in July 2018. The year prior my mother lost her heart dog, Jack, at 17. After loosing him is when she decide to breed chihuahuas and Ive helped her in the adventure.
I actually received 2 rescue pug girls and since then have found a wonderful home for them but from that moment on I was hooked! Enter Roo and Odin. Roo came from a breeder in southern MN and Odin from a breeder in Missouri from there here we are!
Since starting back in 2015 Ive since learnt alot about the breed and where I personally want to see the Pug dog breed go. I have since tested dogs for PDE, PK def and DM and added champion stock straight from Russia to help diverse the genes but also add quality.
My ulimate goal is to have nice quality brindles, whites and silvers. We have added a merle and panda to the group but our primary focus will be on them 3 colors and ofcourse fawn and blacks.
